The Au-Pair cultural program in Germany allows young people to stay for one year in Germany, supporting German families in caring for children as a family member.

 

It also allows young people to perfect the German language by practicing it within the family, as well as attending a language school, getting to know the culture and develop personally.

What is being an Au-Pair?

​

It is a Cultural Exchange, where the main priority is childcare and in return the host family treats the participant as a valuable member of their family.

​

Au-Pair is a French word that literally means "at par", basically it does not have a translation in another language, this word has its origin in the 16th century, which was used to refer to wealthy European families who sent their daughters to Another family in Paris, so that they learn good customs and high etiquette, in return the young lady took care of the children of that family for a few hours, being treated as one more member of the family.

Currently this tradition is still in vogue in the US and Europe. Now young people from good Latin American families can access this type of exchange and enrich themselves with a unique experience.

If you:

• Are between 18 - 26 years old.

• Have experiences in childcare (you need references).

• Have a fourth level of the German language and if you have a good level of English.

• Want to stay in Germany for 12 months.

• Have a driver's license (not essential).

​

Then the Au-Pair program offers you:
